Happy Mother’s Day!

I often portray my mom as a timid lady, because she is so loving and sweet.  But she’s tough too, she tried very hard to give us every opportunity in a small place, without much.  My mother is the one who has believed in my abilities the longest, and the fiercest, and for that I owe her everything.

In this particular exchange, she also showed me that people’s talent may not always be what it appears to be to others, and that we all may have a greatness in us that not everyone can see.

Remember to call your mother today.  She loves you.

I printed this out and gave it to my mother for Mother’s Day. It hits really close to home. When she read it my mom knew exactly how Kate’s mom was going to react. She loved it! I’m so incredibly lucky to have such a supportive, kind, and tough mom. This comic is wonderful <3

I am so terrible at coming up with roller derby names. If someone else can come up with a good one for Fionna I would love to hear it.

Oh hey here’s a poster I did out of the blue last night. Black Swan is my second favorite film of all time. Maybe someday I’ll do something for my first favorite film, Velvet Goldmine.

I wish she was in every movie, ever.

Here’s a couple of shots my friend Jess took of me a few weeks ago when I modeled for her at her studio internship! It was a ridiculous amount of fun, and I was able to show off just how vain I really am. Jess is an amazing photographer and I’m lucky that someone as amateur as me gets to work with her from time to time. I can’t wait until she finishes editing the whole set - I did two different outfits and my Batgirl costume. Check out the rest of Jess’ photos, she’s rad!

You get home from a long day at work and turn on the TV. It’s been a long week, so you think to yourself- maybe i’ll take the family to a movie on Saturday. Maybe we’ll even go on a vacation soon! We could visit museums and go to plays and see all sorts of fun attractions. 

When you turned the TV on, nothing happened. There are no actors to entertain you. 
When you went to the movie theater, nothing was showing. There were no advertisements to tell you that anything was showing, so you went to the theater to find out. Nothing playing. There is no one to film and create movies for you. Well at least your vacation will be fun, right? Not like there will be any plays to see and there won’t be anything in the art museums. 
Well at least you have the shack you are living in that you made out of cardboard and sheets.

Not like you could find an architect to build you a house with all the money you’re making as an engineer.

You know what’s funny is they had to get someone to make that stupid list into a graphic for TV.
